Red top tube

Gray/Red separator gel tube is acceptable.

Analyte Stability:

Unprocessed blood or serum on separator gel is stable for 24 hours ambient or refrigerated (2o to 8oC). Serum aliquoted or not on separator gel is stable up to 2 weeks ambient or refrigerated. For longer storage, specimens should be frozen (-15o to -25oC).

Laboratory Processing Instructions:
Test performed in BJH Chemistry. Centrifuge upon receipt. Deliver to the Modular station. Completed specimen is stored refrigerated for 1 week.
