Methodology

Screen:  Kinetic Interaction of Microparticles in Solution (KIMS) 

Confirmation:  Gas-Liquid Chromatography (GLC) 

Testing Algorithm:

If the specimen is positive by the screening method, confirmation will be performed automatically by an alternate method, at an additional charge.

Specimen Type: Urine, random

Container/Tube: Yellow-top urine collection tube or plain red-top tube (full)

Specimen Volume: 10 mL

The following barbiturates are reported: amobarbital, butalbital, pentobarbital, phenobarbital, and secobarbital.

Immunoassay screen cut-off level: 200 ng/mL.
Drug results are to be used only for medical purposes. All results, especially unconfirmed screening results, must not be used for non medical purposes.
