Note: Performance has not been established with cord blood, neonatal specimen, cadaver specimen, heat-inactivated specimen, or body fluid other than serum or plasma such as saliva, urine, amniotic fluid, or pleural fluid.
Analyte Stability:

Primary tube: 4 days at 15° C to 25° C. Primary tube includes serum stored on the clot, plasma stored on packed red cells, and specimen processed and stored in a separator gel tube.

Separated from cells: 8 days at 2° C to 8° C.

Frozen: 365 days

Laboratory Processing Instructions:

Test performed in BJH Core lab. Processed and aliquoted by Cobas 8100 automated line for delivery to the Abbott Architect. Completed specimens are stored refrigerated for 5 days.
