Testing Algorithm

If Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is ≥417.00 IUnits/mL, then Aspergillus fumigatus (M3) IgE Antibodies is performed at an additional charge.

If Aspergillus fumigatus IgE is positive (>0.35 kUnits/L), then Aspergillus fumigatus IgG Antibodies will be sent to outside reference lab at an additional charge.

Lab Processing instructions: Centrifuge specimen to separate. Split the specimen by aliquoting 0.5 mL of specimen into a conical tube for the CAP250 and then giving the SST collection tube to the Chemistry bench for analysis.
