Specimen Requirements

Note: This test is also available as part of LAB18 Lipid Panel. 

 

Patient Preparation:

1. Patient should be fasting (12 to 14 hour, overnight) as triglycerides are affected by recent dietary intake.

2. Patient should be following ordinary eating habits and should not be acutely ill, losing weight, pregnant, or had a myocardial infarction within the last 3 months.
