Reference Values
Ratio of pleural to serum Bilirubin ≥ 0.6 is indicative of exudate and <0.6 of transudate.
Ratio of peritoneal fluid to serum Bilirubin ≥ 0.6 is indicative of exudate and <0.6 of transudates. Peritoneal fluid minus serum Bilirubin gradient >5 mg/dL suggests bile duct leakage into peritoneal fluid.
