Specimen Requirements

Acceptable Specimens:1 pinworm collection kit or 1 SWUBETM collection device

 

 

Collection Procedure:

Call Barnes-Jewish Hospital Laboratory Customer Service at 314-362-1470 for collection instructions and to obtain proper Pinworm Collection Kit.

 

Obtain specimen in the early a.m. before rising out of bed and prior to bathing and defecation. Use clear non-frosted tape only. See Pinworm Information and Cellulose Collection Technique in Special Instructions for collection information.
