Specimen Requirements
Specimen must arrive within 1 hour of collection.
Submit only 1 of the following specimens:
Specimen Type: Bile fluid
Container/Tube: Plain red top. See Body Fluid Collection Guidlines under Special Instructions
Specimen Volume: 2 mL
Additional Information: Label specimen appropriately (bile fluid).
Specimen Type: Synovial fluid
Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA)-Do not use tube with powdered EDTA. See Body Fluid Collection Guidlines under Special Instructions
Specimen Volume: 2 mL
Collection Instructions: Do not send specimen in syringe.
Additional Information: Label specimen appropriately (synovial fluid).
